At Down Home Meats, we honor the time-tested methods of sausage making that have been passed down through generations. Our sausages are gently cooked at temperatures between 164 - 170 degrees, utilizing authentic hickory hardwood for a genuine hickory smoked taste. Our formula is straightforward yet unique: we fill our sausages with premium ingredients, then expertly smoke them to achieve a fully-cooked hickory smoked sausage that's teeming with flavor.

Our sausages are crafted with just four primary ingredients: choice cuts of pork shoulder, rib trimmings, pork loin, and pork ham. These ingredients are encased in natural skins that enable our sausages to absorb the smoky flavor during the cooking process. Prepared and packaged at our facility in Stonewall, LA, our sausages can be savored right from the package, heated in the microwave, or grilled to perfection.
