I happened upon a box of this at our grocery store last week and thought "I'm in the mood for something different". So, I followed the directions by using the 6 cups of chicken stock rather than water, so I'd have a much richer gumbo. I added cooked spicy sausage links that had been cut into bite sized pieces, cooked chicken breasts, campari tomatoes what were , some chopped red and green peppers and frozen okra (we don't find it fresh in the desert). I gotta' tell you - it was the bomb! So colorful and flavorful that we about licked the bowls clean. Back to the store the following day to buy a couple of more boxes and there is NONE - NONE to be had! I checked other grocery stores - NONE! The Cajun Grocer is going to be my go to source when I'm looking for cajun flavors in the future.
